Appointment system for blood services at St Mary's Hospital has changed...

There will no longer be a walk-in-facility for phlebotomy services at St Mary's Hospital. Instead patients must book an appointment by phone. Blood test appointments will be available from 8am to 4.45pm Monday to Fridays. The booking line will be available from 7am to 7pm Monday to Fridays and from 9am to 5pm at weekends.

Text Messages

The practice also provides a FREE appointment text reminder service. Please make sure we have your current mobile number to safeguard your confidentiality.

Out of Hours Service
Telephone - 0300 300 2012. Portsmouth Out of Hours service ensures that there are always doctors and nurses on duty whenever the practice is closed – overnight, weekends and bank holidays. They can provide telephone advice, an appointment at their surgery (in Drayton) or a home visit.

Home Visits
If you think a home visit may be needed please contact the surgery before 10.30am.  A Doctor or Nurse will contact you by phone initially and decide the best course of action.

Appointments
We aim to provide a mixture of prebookable, on the day appointments, telephone advice and home care. Appointments, to see or speak on the phone to one of our Doctors or Nurses are made via our reception.

repeat prescriptionsYou do not need to see a GP every time you need a renewal of your prescription. Instead, do one of the following:

  • Tick the items you require on your repeat prescription form and hand in to reception.
  • Write your name, date of birth and the medication you require on a piece of paper and drop it in to us or fax it to us on 02392 291076.
  • Phone a local chemist and ask them to request your medication for you.

Your prescription will be ready to collect 48 hours later. Please speak to reception if you need it more urgently.

Unfortunately we are unable to accept prescription requests by telephone.

The online ordering facility below is now available.  Please refer to our home page for guidance on how to sign up for this facility.
